Chili Time

Joshua linked up this fun little bit of fluff describing how someone unaccustomed to Texas-style chili might judge a "for real" cook off. Ellen still thinks chili should have beans and be made of hamburger, and no amount of convincing has changed this.

Of course, the time I set a pressure cooker on fire should have had no influence on her judgement of me as a chili cook. I mean, really...

Scott, you burnt the chili so bad it was a brick inside that pressure cooker! Not to mention that no amount of soaking, banging it on the floor, and tossing it off a 14 story building set the stuff loose!

*yuck* :)

I'm supporting Ellen on this. Amber makes a good chili that I think 5/6 of us would enjoy. Just because you want to be punished when you eat (and then, punished again as you get rid of the chili) doesn't mean the rest of us do.

Note, this doesn't apply to the Chipotle. That's the straight-up bomb and should make you sweat. Twice.

I agree with Ellen!

I usually make my chili with stew meat (beef). When I make it with ground beef, I add in ground buffalo too, just for a little variety.

Thanks for pointing me to the cook-of reporting. I laughed so hard I cried!
