Geek Critique

I think I can honestly say I had this conversation with just about all my college buddies at one time or another. That, and just what it was that made a thermal detonator, well, tick. Oh don't worry, we all eventually got lives. Of a sort.

I truly like Scalzi's work. It's at least inventive and fresh - more than can be said for many other writers.

And yes, he's dead on. I've often wondered about why Artoo can't seem to speak when voice synthesizers are so damned easy. Or how the Millennium Falcon is somehow Tardis-like in it's ability have to have extra space.

It really is a poorly designed universe. Amusing for parts 4-6, but poorly designed.

BTW, how in the hell does Bespin stay up?
