The Steps of Ares

Using the MRO's HiRise camera, scientists have identified several geological formations which appear to have formed in response to variations in the red planet's orbit over time. Interestingly, it's a "10 beat" rhythm, compared to Earth's "5 beat." Bonus: everyone seems to be skirting around what this might imply for climate change on Earth.

The effort to refine the "global warming" model by finding ways to force observable data to fit a graph that proves impending doom is just around the corner is just as sad as the continuing effort to find a way to explain the movement of Venus in the night sky that can prove it orbits the Earth instead of the Sun. It's conspiracy theory science, starting with the foregone conclusion and working backwards to try to find any piece of data that confirms it, and trying to pretend any piece of data that contradicts it can be invalidated with some magic quantity of additional "confirming" data.
