Escape Goats?

It's nice to see that the US isn't the only nation with an f-d up public school system. Some of you may think, "well at least they speak English." Keep in mind their immigration problem is actually a bit stickier than ours. They may boost the crime rate and create a built-in constituency for nanny-staters Democrats, but at least they don't try to blow us up on a regular schedule.

This reminds me of that old faxlore about "History According To High-School Students", with bits about how people were called Romans because they moved around a lot. The Olympics were where Greeks ran races, jumped, hurled biscuits, and threw the java. The Revolutionary War was fought so that we wouldn't have to pay for taxis.

Hell, I had a 9th grade high school geology teacher who tried to convince us that marble forms from "slimestone" which in turn is the hardened slime from sewage plant runoffs. And an 11th-grade history teacher who told us the South won the Civil War by assassinating Abraham Lincoln.

It wouldn't surprise me if all that stuff in the "History According To High School Students" essay was just regurgitated from what some teacher actually fed them.
