Not so "Lo" After All

It would appear the F-22's stealth technology is not as easy to maintain as first advertised. Our Air Force is mis-stating something's cheaper than it actually is until they have to pay the bill? Shocking!

A commenter had a good point about the type of maintenance and when it'd be occurring. Is it the LO systems, the iso work, or are some sub-assemblies requiring more work and different access than initially expected?

From what I hear, there are several B-2 where they've just given up entirely on maintaining the stealth equipment; the B-2 only needs it if it's doing a penetration mission against an advanced air-defense network, and none of our current targets have an air-defense network at all...

Would you be inquisitive about exchanging hyperlinks?
