Have Nuke, Will Travel

The Air Force is mulling over installing nuclear reactors in an effort to "green up" its air bases. As long as they can't be mounted under the wing of a B-52, it should be safe enough. Well, until the "real" greens get wind of it, at any rate.

Heh... wouldn't a flying fortress powered by plutonium instead of jet fuel be neat, though? And if it gets shot down, it'll give a whole new meaning to the term "blaze of glory."

Flying? Flying? Flying?!?

Dude... no kidding... you really need a copy editor. A Flying Fortress hasn't gone down in a blaze of glory since the mid 60s. A manned B-17... say, mid 45.

Now, Stratofortress, that's a different kettle o' fish.

Well, I'm thinking they put up the reactors and tie them into the local power grids. That way any excess power has to be paid for by the power companies - and it helps green the rest of us up, too.

biatches.
