Diver Down

Most people would find paying fifteen million dollars for a hamburger a sign that something's wrong. Most people, however, are not Robert Mugabe. When will it all end?

At the other end of the denominational-spectrum, I do have a Zimbabwean one-cent coin, from 1980, in the collection. Effectively worthless now, though I imagine the 2 or 3 grams of bronze in it might be worth a couple hundred Zimbabwean dollars by now!

Not that that makes it any less worthless!

Heh. Back in 1980, a one-cent Zimbabwean (actually, Rhodesian) coin was worth something.

Mugabe recently declared that, under his overthrown predecessor Ian Smith, whites ate steak while blacks ate gruel. Of course, he didn't mention that, under his enlightened leadership, Mugabe eats steak, his troops eat gruel, and everyone else eats dirt.

From everything I've heard, he's screwed that country up worse than anyone possibly could've imagined.

Yet there are some that still support him (outside of his cronies, that is).
