That Company Better Have Good Insurance...

because if this ever became mainstream, it would kill a lot of cats just from fright alone.

You may find the video funny, but when you see a cat come in from a groomer that was hung or had a jaw broken, its' not so funny anymore.

That is just cruel!

On one hand, not all cats can properly clean themselves, and such cats seldom let anyone else clean them either, even if their tails are on the verge of rotting off. Considering the only other options would seem to be declawing or letting the cat get flystrike repeatedly, something like this doesn't seem so cruel.

On the other hand, pet groomers are a business like any other. If they install one of these things, they're going to get their investment back by hook or by crook, usually by telling well-meaning but naive cat owners that "the cats actually love it" and any other flat-out lie they must to get the cash forked over and Fluffy into the shower.

Bottom line is, these things really should be restricted to veterinarian-approved use, and anyone who puts a normal, perfectly healthy cat into one should be charged with animal cruelty.

*THAWPTS you on the nose!*

NO DECLAWING- DONT GET A DAMN CAT
NO OUTSIDE! HIT BY CARS, MAULING!

If you cannot groom a cat, do not get one. If your groomer grooms a cat that is NOT used to being showed and groomed on a regular basis in the same room as a dog is horrible. As well as fur blasters to remove excess water.

I have seen several cats die from stress alone. That cat going nuts in there is a cat in sheer distress.

Bottom line from the vet view- you kill your cat with grooming = we told you so.

What Ellen said! I have seen cats die from grooming too. If an animal is so hard to groom, then take it to your vet where it can be safely sedated and cleaned up that way. This way it can be monitored and safe and not freaked out. Look at it from the cats point of view. You are on this planet where you rally don't understand the language of all these giants around you and one day they throw you in this large machine, slam the door and start sparying you with water. You ARE GOING TO DIE! is the only thing that is running threw your mind. It is a cruel thing. That is all I am going to say about it.

*realizing fully that this is not going to play well in this forum*

Well, I guess you could say the washing machine is "self-agitating"...

*ducks thrown object and runs away...*
