Face to Face

Slashdot linked up this high-resolution look at the "Mars Face", courtesy of the Mars Express space probe. Not surprisingly, when looked at in a higher resolution, the thing turns out to be just another big lump of rock.

Then again, that face image was taken in 1976. Those Martians, they're clever little buggers. Wouldn't put it past them to... oh, hang on. Damned foil hat fell off again...

Natural erosion on Mars would've taken care of that. Or, the secret gateway the military has that's hidden in Area 72 (51 is just a cover, you know) that let's us go over there whenever we want has probably been used. They've been trying to cover the cost of the project by saying the construction industry's been faced with a housing boom, but we all know that's not it, it's that they've been spending billions of dollars to make the face look like normal mountains. You did notice that it's still out there all by itself with nothing else around it. It's probably left over from some ancient civilization, but we had to destroy it so people wouldn't think that there's all these other alien planets out there so we erased it.

I've got all the proof here on my hard drive. You can research it all on the web if you just search hard enough.
