A Serial What? Where? Is that Even in the US?

For even more proof that if it doesn't happen in New York, DC, or LA, it doesn't matter, we have a serial killer whom I only heard about after his apparent arrest. This guy they think killed at least six people and shot dozens more, yet no national hyperventilation like we got with Malvo et. al.

Pack mentality? Our media?

Must be your print media, this story has been all over the the cable stations - CNN, Fox, MSNBC for several weeks. The two that were arrested this morning are considered involved in one of the serial cases in Phoenix. There is another, I can't remember what they call him, who is responsible for numerous rapes and at least 6 killings also in the Phoenix during the past year. Now the police and other people can focus on him. Turn on your TV, the stations actually interupted all the violence in the middle east to show these two serial cases in Phoenix.

The serial rapist/killer is called the Baseline Killer, he is the second case that is still unsolved.

Haven't read a bit of it in the Post. Don't really watch the news much anymore. Guess maybe I should.

Pat - remember that you're a lot closer to AZ than we are. Up here, we have enough killings that something like this isn't a blip on the radar screen. That's likely why we didn't hear of it (I haven't heard of it, either).

Watch the national news on TV. The Baseline serial killer has 8 rape/kills and I don't know many rapes in the past year. I am stunned that nothing has shown up on your radar. I know you have a "National News" section in the Post.
