This one should make MMORPG (Everquest, etc.) players and/or students of WWII smile, while others will probably scratch their heads a bit: if WWII was an MMORPG:
*Roosevelt has left the game.*
Eisenhower: sh1t now we need some1 to join
*tru_m4n has joined the game.*
tru_m4n: hi all
tru_m4n: OMG OMG OMG i got all his stuff!
tru_m4n: NUKES! HOLY **** I GOT NUKES
Yeah, it's been around awhile, but I still get a grin every time.
eMail this entry!
As both, I was just amused. Who would've thought you could break WWII down into L33T that succinctly. Maybe if we taught it that way, kids would have a better understanding of the world...
Kidding. Really. Kids should learn the way I did. Walk to school every day. In worn out shoes (hey - I'm not from Arkansas - we had shoes, they just were worn out), in the snow, with our kid brother on our back, uphill both ways. Then have to work to support the family. And get your daily beating at school and at home. Not because we did anything wrong, but just to know that we needed it.
And we liked it. dammit.
Didn't have no telephone, didn't have no fax machine,
All we had was a couple of cans and a crummy piece of string!
Didn't have no swimming pool when I was just a lad,
Our neighbor's septic tank was the closest thing we had!
Didn't have no dental floss, had to use old rusty nails!
Didn't have Nintendo, we just poured salt on snails!
Didn't have no waterbeds, had to sleep on broken glass!
Didn't have no lawnmower, we used our teeth to cut the grass!
