Toys for Not-Really-Tots

The folks over at Landover Baptist Church have done it again, this time educating us about evil toys with a hidden agenda. Note: No pictures, but a pretty graphic opening paragraph. Still, couldn't help chuckling.

"them Japaneses" - they actually said that. So, I follow the link and I'm rewarded with diatribe about Hiroshima and Nagasaki... I think I should send them Cream Lemon Dark.

It's actually satire, probably one of the absolute best satires I have ever seen. Almost everyone who stumbles onto them takes them completely seriously (this site included), with the obligatory "oh my god"'s and "here's a wacko's wacko"'s.

It's only when you take the site in total, and look at the edges, that you start seeing the wink (Jesus thongs?), noticing the nod ("religion kills folks dead"). Joshua was the one that clued me into LBC being a joke, and it took some convincing.

I can only imagine what their e-mail must look like.

I thought it might be satire - and I agree, it's some of the best satire I've seen. not that we shouldn't still send them Cream Lemon Dark, but still...

I saw the thong advertisement and wondered bout that! LOL It's a very good job on satire. It's just crazy enough that it's almost believable.

Jack Chick, on the other hand, is completely serious.
