Seared I Tell You, Seared

Instapundit noted big media is so powerful they can actually distort time itself:

Lapham must have written those words in July. Didn't it occur to him that his readers might notice he was claiming to have witnessed an event that had not occurred when the magazine went to press?" Er, or when the magazine arrived in the mail . . .

Eugene Volokh: "Good thing that people still read the reliable, credible Real Media instead of those nasty inaccurate, un-fact-checked blogs."

As the insta-one would say, indeed...

Well, I went to Harper's and found the link to email them (no link to read the article). Below is what I sent. For some reason, I'm fairly sure that I won't receive a response, but I did have to try...

Text of the msg:

I've just read that Lapham has written an article (it may be the Bedtime for Bonzo piece, not sure - it was directed at covering the RNC) that includes comments on the speeches given at the RNC. Given that this hasn't happened, can you comment on how he managed to circumvent the space-time continuum to make this happen?

Just wondering...
