You have to be from, or have lived near, Texas to understand just how funny this one is. Only in Texas would cowboy boots become a major election issue.

I had no experience with coming between a man and his boots before my wedding day. Your dad's Uncle Leon refused to come to the wedding unless I pre-approved his right to wear his cowboy boots.I should have caught a Grayhound and left town right then, of course then you and your brother wouldn't be here. LOL
