Just in time for election, science news is carrying the closest thing we can get to 1908 debates. What I think is remarkable is that these men have obvious accents which I simply can't place, because they don't exist anymore.
that's really cool--I had no idea we had recorded statements (though no actual face to face debate ever occurred...that had to wait until 1960) extant from either of these men.
Well, I take part of that back. I know there is newsreel footage of WJB from the 1925 Snopes "Monkey Trial". But I didn't realize we had anything from the 1908 election.
