RIP: Bobby Fischer

One of chess's great characters died Thursday at the age of 64. Yeah, he was a crank, but he was an entertaining crank, so he'll be missed.

And I am old enough to remember the great East vs. West (hairy) chess championship in the early '70s...Boris Spassky vs. Bobby Fischer! Big headlines back in the Nixon Administration!
