And the News Goes, "Spin Spin Spin"

News: Retail giant Wal-Mart begins to offer large numbers of generics for $4 for a 30 day supply, promising significant savings to America's poor and vulnerable populations.

Spin: Domination! Monopoly! Drives businesses under! Unfair labor practices! Profits from sick people! Will screw with your health insurance!

Of course, criticising the media usually means I'm just not paying attention. Silly me.

FYI - Walmart won't be losing much, if any money. In fact, really all they're doing is screwing retail independants. I've looked at (and am actually analyzing) the list of drugs they've advertised for this price - almost all of them are for seniors and likely (though I'm still finalizing this) all of them cost well under $4 for a 30 day supply.

Purely an advertising campaign to get you into their stores, purchase their crappy merchandise, and deal with the moral high ground nonsense.
