Why I Should Never Listen to Internet Radio

Because Glen Campbell's Southern Nights is now officially 28 years old. Those of you tapping your toes, repeat after me: "GAH!!!"

All others: consider yourself smacked. Youngsters.

Gah! That was our prom theme my junior year in high school.

I am officially old.

28 huh?

Yeah I was a wee-lad of 3 when that came out.

...had to say it.

Oh that's ok, you'll catch up soon enough. Back to the Future is 20 years old this year, after all.

here's the problem all of us are currently facing (well, Scott faced it awhile ago. for him, substitute college for high school): If we're around high school kids (the ones that work at the local Target, for example), realize that they weren't born when some of our favorite high school songs came out.

it's goddamn depressing to think that today's current crop of folks getting ready to graduate this year weren't born when Culture Club or the Bangles were in their heydey.

Now that I've said that, I'm going to go have a drink.
