In Remembrance of the Funkiest Magician Who Ever Lived

Imagine my surprise when I found out Ellen had never heard of Doug Henning, the world's most famous hippie magician. I found it actually a little difficult to describe the guy, even though he was all over the place on kid's television in the 1970s. I'm happy to report I've found a site that gives a nice summary of his career, with pictures, because trying to explain Doug Henning without pictures is like trying to describe skittles without using the word "rainbow."

I would bet a lot of people your age have never heard of Doug Henning. I have never heard of Miss Elizabeth and all those people posting how much she will be missed is incrediable.
I seem to remember a running game-show type skit on some comedy show called "Dead or Canadian?"
I guess the answer for Doug Henning is "both"
I remember him (the horror of those costumes) but had forgotten he had died. (I'm 34, FWIW)
Never heard of Doug Henning? sacrilige!
