Hack Attack

Several of you have already noticed that two nights in a row we ended up with a weird message completely blanking our site. Apparently this was caused by a security hole in MT allowing some mouth breathing sister-sodomizing script kiddy morons to zap the main page of our site. I've (finally!) upgraded us to the latest version of MT, so all that should stop.

Didn't even have to run any scripts this time. If I'd know it was this easy I would've done it months ago.

why do people hack blogs??? I remember quite a while back (when he was still blogging....) Lane McFadden got hit by a hacker too.....

It was back in July... and I said then:

What gain is there in hacking a WebLog? All of the information, with the exception perhaps of the template or his Moveable Type installation, is right there to read. Replacing the index.html gains them nothing but a little publicity.

We've had to ban, oh, about five guys, split evenly between gross sickos and terminally stupid sheepf-ing script kiddies. Wouldn't surprise me if it was one of them.

Sounds like someone is getting lazy once in a while, and some loser takes advantage just to try to keep web owners on their toes.
Get your ballet shoes out Scott.

BTW, it wasn't me.
I have better things to do with my very limited time (work, school, laundry, cook, clean, watch "da boy", talk with friends, etc.). Sounds to me like someone else needs a better hobby (try rock climbing you nitwit).
