Invisible Jew

It seems at least one author has suddenly noticed there's a group of people who think Jesus never existed. I've known about "mysticists" for about twenty-five years, I'm sure they've been around quite a bit longer. Still, it's nice to see the lines of evidence to the contrary gathered in a single source. No, it won't make much difference to the True Believers, but very little ever does.

"Mythicists". Mysticists are an entirely differen breed of people (and often religious).

He existed, all right. The arguments begin over exactly what he was, and what he said, while he was alive. (Okay, and that three days afterward thing that you and I will agree to disagree on.:-) )

Durp. Post-before-coffee error there.

Yup, it's the nature of what happened that people argue about. A more sophisticated argument would be over the "historical Jesus." The fact the term exists at all is revealing.

Actually, I don't disagree with you about the three day thing. I'm a heathen Buddhist after all :).
