What a Comforting Thought

Problem: Effete Westerners have got all fluttery about the lead you're using on the kids products you're selling them, and now block them.

Solution: use a different poison.

I wonder if it glows?

I don't think it glows/fluoresces, but it does produce excessively bright oranges, reds, and yellows. It was used by Renaissance painters for the longest time (as a "safe" replacement for mercury), and like with many other paints, only recently have we developed safe polymer-based alternatives.

Which, of course, use up more oil, and supports the oil industry, and therefore kills the planet with the deadly pollutant carbon dioxide. So enjoy your environmentally sustainable cadmium, kids, and respect China's green policies!
