Living Mars

Scientists have announced the discovery that Mars is alive, at least geologically and perhaps even biologically. The evidence? Substantial amounts of methane in the atmosphere, which is normally rapidly destroyed in the Martian atmosphere.

Gil Levin is very sure that it's biological.

He designed one of the experiments on the Viking Lander.
In a talk to the NYC L-5/NSS/SFF he showed 2 pictures from the Viking of a rock that were taken in stereo 3d. One was during winter showing the normal reddish grey color. The one during summer was GREEN and the rock was 1mm taller than the winter pic. At the time he was careful not to say it was life, just that it needed more investigation.
