Great. Just What I Needed. Another Excuse.

Scientists in the UK are setting up to play Christmas pop tunes at sharks to see if they respond to them. It would seem that fish in general recognize melody, so this would seem a sort of "spaghetti against the wall" experiment just to see what sharks will think of the music.

No speakers around the goldfish tank, Ellen. No! Bad!

The more important question (for me at least) is "Will the sharks spontaneously commit suicide after the second or third time hearing The Carpenters Christmas Album"

...or at the very least "Will they try to escape a la Free Willy and then (of course) gorge themselves on their tormentors?"

Put lasers on their heads, teach them how they work - then play the music. If they assault the speakers, we'd learn something about xmas music, no?
