But Where's the Royale with Cheese?
While the titular menu item is not in this list of "localized" MacDonald's menus, a bunch of other things are. Hey, I'm all for beer at a McD's, but I think I'll pass on the shrimp burgers.
I stopped at a McDonalds in Germany (Bavaria, about 50 miles west of Munich) on my first trip to Europe in 1995, just to get a coke since I was driving the rental car on 2 hrs of sleep. I was delighted to see, as i stood in line, that a coke was 5 Deutsche Mark (roughly $1.50 back then), but a beer there was only 4 DM. While I silently debated "how good could the beer be for only a buck twenty?", I then had a flash:
"Hey, I'm in fucking GERMANY, for chrissake! Of course it's going to be good!"
But safety-consciousness prevailed, and I got the coke anyway.

Worse thing to be lost there is his lunch (and my deposit...)
