I Don't Think I'll Wait to See This One

Scientists have proposed a theory that, approximately 3 trillion years from now, the universe will appear to be static. The thinking goes that around that time the information that allows an expanding universe to be deduced will have disappeared over the visible horizon. So it won't be static, it'll just look that way.

"I'm not a static universe, but I play one on TV."

The stars go out, one by one...

We really need to get a move on. Pity that all the scientists in the US that are able to design ways to travel into space, are so dead-set against us militarizing it. Without the security a space-based military provides, no feasable space colonies will be built.

Then again, if a free country refuses to militarize space, maybe a Chinese dictatorship will.
