Happy Indeed

Sometimes it's very, very easy to be cynical about the war in Iraq. Other times, all too rarely, it becomes quite hard indeed. Let it roll all the way through before you let your jaundiced views overtake you. It becomes harder as it goes along.

At least one of those kids looks enough like her to be Olivia's sister.

It is always the kids who break your heart. The kids and the soldiers who are also just kids too.
Close to 2500 deaths since W. strutted on the carrier in full combat dress under a banner that read "Mission Accomplished"

The soldiers are NOT "just kids." Jesus, how condescending can you get?

They're men and women who have made the noble decision to defend America and spread liberty where there was none, and you act like they're nothing but scared little babies kidnapped by those mean old recruiters and dumped into the maw of hell with nothing but three bullets and a band-aid.

Just because the Democrats treat the troops like cannon fodder (from Mogadishu to Iran to Vietnam to even D-Day) doesn't mean everybody does. I, for one, salute the Republicans' dedication to keeping our troops alive, no matter how romantic the media would find losing 60,000 of them in a single battle.
