Mark Your Calendars (again)

World to End, September 29:

That's the chilling news from E.T. expert Dr. Terry Johnson, who claims various conglomerations of alien races are conspiring to destroy planet Earth on that day -- with the help of a few volcanoes and earthquakes.

Well, at least we won't have to sit through the damned election.

Every time I see one of these things, I'm reminded of a sign on my high school band director's door:

Due to a lack of qualified trumpeters,
The end of the world has been postponed six months.
We apologize for any inconvenience

Yeah, I know, band people are weird.

I am part of the ABB crowd, except for Nader of course. If the world is going to end 9/29 it still means we will have to listen to and watch all the nonsense on Fox, CNN and all the other cable channels as well as network news.

I always thought the world would end with bagpipes and accordions. Just me, I guess.

oooo.. now I have to go make a tinfoil hat!

Actually, the world can't end that soon. Trust me - I live with a woman intent on having a wedding. She's not going to let some small inconveniences like earthquakes, alien invaders, or sabertoothed rabbits stop it...

That's odd. The asteroid Toutatis, 4.5 Km long, 2 Km wide by 1.9 Km high is due to go by at 4 lunar distances as predicted five years ago. I've been waiting! Hope they were right.

Well, the asteroid must just be a disguised alien spaceship then! What if they change course? =)
