Garrison

What do you do when you have to tell your friend that her cat may be really ill?

How does it look when you try to remain professional yet not bawl your eyes out because you have known this cat for several years and something may be really wrong with him?

Tomorrow we find out whats going on. Tomorrow we get to see why this cat has enlarged lympnodes and an enlarged spleen. Tomorrow I get his complete bloodwork back. Tomorrow we find out.

Twelve hours seems like a long time away.

Don't worry about upseting her. She's your friend, better bad news comes from you than a stranger. As for Garrison, if it is bad, at least you can help make him comfortable and care for him. Since you know him, caring for him will be easier. If the worse happens, try reading The Tenth Good Thing about Barney by Judith Voirst. It may be a kid's book but nothing beats it for dealing with the loss of a cat.
Good thoughts your way.
