Welcome Your New Neighbor, SO025300.5+165258

BBCnews is reporting the discovery of the 5th closest star to the sun. At 7.5 light years away, it's still a minimum 15 year round trip. Cool... by the time I got back my kid would be a teenager.

Hang on, what am I saying?!?

Fifteen years round trip if you could travel at the speed of light. Warp speed, Scotty!

Find a worm hole, make it in 6 months (that way you'd miss most of the 2 hour feeding schedule too).
BTW Pat, there are Warp factors now, I don't believe they've gone above 10 but on very rare occasions.

Travelling at light speed, you wouldn't age at all (or not much). Maybe it would be better to leave when the kid is 15 - that way you miss the really rebelious years (and hopefully, said child has moved out of the house by then!)
