The big mistake was in step 3 - throwing the soggy pill away!

No, seriously, my cats are very good about taking medicine. I can also trim their claws without a hassle the Of course Wonderfull Spouse says none of our animals are normal anyway . . .

I know the trick to getting cats to take their pills......baby food! At least it works for Ted and Ajax LOL
