Worst Bridesmaid Dresses?

Ok. I'm a guy. I wear mismatched socks with shorts on (and pull them up to my knees). My wife threw out a bunch of my underwear when we got married because they had... "character". I've walked around out in public with my shirt on backwards, white socks with blue slacks, and an undershirt with a pattern you could see through my button-down shirt (not all at once... well not often all at once).

So I'm a guy. I'm a moron when it comes to clothes. So would someone please explain to me why women pay money to go out in huge public ceremonies in these things?!?

What's the worst thing you ever had to wear to a wedding?

They don't choose these horrible things. The bride, her very ownself does the choosing. I think she picks out the ugliest dress in the world so she will look even better. What did your purple bridesmaid dress look like E? Oh I forgot I am not speaking to you.

For my wedding I picked out rather innocuous dresses - but they were still dresses they "wouldn't wear again" because it wasn't their style. It was more a style in keeping with my wedding. But not tacky - I made sure of that.

My only horror story is one wedding I was in where the dresses were made from scratch. A day before the wedding we tried them on "one last time" only to find that one of the dresses was WAY to small for it's intended victim. Since they were sheer-ish pink dresses and hers was so tight she had to go sans underwear (panty lines are a no-no) and ended up looking like a hooker covered in pepto bismol. Poor dear - I don't think she ever quite recovered.

Har! I once had to wear a burgundy tuxedo, but that's about as bad as it ever got for me.

That's a funny one though!

Scott, could that possibly be the wedding where your shoes were stolen out of your car cause it was a convertible and you left the top down? Of course your wallet & keys were also stolen for the same reason as I recall.

well i just stumbled upon this and i read it and some of that stuff is funny. worst wedding i was in was my sisters first. i was a 13 year old flower girl who got stuck in an old lady dress cause we couldnt find anything else on short notice. it way heavy, full of beads, and about 2 weeks after the wedding my mother went in my room looking for the dress and found that it had "mysteriously" dissapeared. who could blame me.
My wedding is on june 28th, 2008 and i chose some cute dresses for my bridesmaids not to mention they were on sale when they were ordered so everyone was very happy but its a pretty black dress so im sure they'll be worn again for a party or something, lol even considering buying myself one.
